With just piece of construction paper, paint, and your local office supply store, you can make a great durable place mat that will make you smile each time you use it. Paint your toddler‘s hand and place it firmly on a piece of construction paper. You can also decorate with name and date of your toddler. Take it to your local office store to laminate. Voila! Instant placemat!! Make a set with enough for the whole family to use. |

There are pre-made kits for this, but doing it from scratch is much more economical and does not take too much extra time . You can go to your local craft store and purchase some plaster of Paris. They also sell small rocks, polished stones, etc. Mix the plaster and have your toddler press in her choices of items into the plaster. Shape it into the desired form. Let dry. You will have a perfect handmade stepping stone for your garden. For an added touch, add a handprint to the stone and mark with name and date. |
