You're pregnant! Now comes the fun part. How will you break the BIG news? The possibilities are endless. Here are seven of the best ways to reveal the secret. Wrap it up- Tell your parents by taking each of them out to lunch and giving your mothers "just a little something we saw and thought they would like." The gift could be a wrapped bib that says "I Love Grandma." You could also give them a wrapped frame with the baby's first picture! Get Digital- Use a digital home pregnancy test and take a picture of it. Crop it and make it your profile picture on MySpace or Facebook. When your friends see it, your comments or "wall" will be full of well wishes. T-riffic way to break the news- If this is a second child then create a t-shirt for the older sibling to wear to announce that they are "Going to be a Big Sister/Brother." Have them wear it to a special lunch or dinner that you plan. The responses will be priceless. Sweet Treat- Make or buy a cake and decorate it with a simple phrase like "We are Pregnant." Simply volunteer to bring the desert to the dinner party and then reveal your surprise during the final course! How fun will it be to see family leap for this "sweet" surprise! Wake-up Call- To tell your hubby you could preserve the test in a zip lock bag and place it on his pillow. Pretend to be asleep when he comes to bed and listen to the squeal of excitement when he sees that he is going to be a dad! Season Greetings- If the news falls around Christmas time send out a special greeting card. Have your child wear the t-shirt you made and take a picture to place in the card or make one online and upload the picture. Family will love to receive your news in a festive card. Frame it- Give your folks or hubby a framed picture of the first ultrasound or make it unusual and place it inside a diaper and wrap it up. Mail it off those living farther away. When they open the diaper have the photo taped inside! |
