Thank You, Thank You Very Much: Writing Great Thank You Notes

Baby showers are so much fun and really make you feel so loved by your friends and family. The most important thing to do after the gifts have all been unloaded is write great thank you notes. Below is a game plan to help you through this sometimes daunting task:

First, finish any outstanding thank you notes now. You want to be caught up before the baby arrives. You should have the notes written right after you receive the gift-that is not always realistic, but finishing up before the birth is.

Don't fuss over the perfect wording-it is fine to be brief-people just appreciate being acknowledged for the gift and that you took the time to respond with a few kind words.

Buy stamps in bulk-you can buy them online or at the post office. This is a great thing to place on Daddy's to-do list. Having the stamps at your fingertips will ensure that the envelopes don't sit on a counter until junior is four.

Upload addresses to your computer so that you can easily send all of these lovely, gift- giving folks an announcement after baby's birth.

Stock up on thank you notes, too, so that you'll have them ready to go after you come home from the hospital. You've already gotten some amazing booty, but there is more to come. Tick these things off your list now, and you'll be prepared for it!
